Article Processing Charges
Sustainability Education Review (SuER) operates as a Diamond Open Access journal. The journal does not charge authors any fees for manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, or publication.
1. No Article Processing Charges
SuER does not charge authors any Article Processing Charges (APCs).
Authors are not required to pay:
- submission fees;
- peer review fees;
- editorial processing fees;
- publication fees;
- page charges;
- color charges;
- supplementary material charges; or
- any other mandatory charges associated with the submission, review, acceptance, or publication of a manuscript.
2. Diamond Open Access Model
SuER follows a Diamond Open Access model, meaning that published articles are freely accessible to readers and no publication fees are charged to authors.
This model is intended to support equitable participation in scholarly communication by removing financial barriers for both authors and readers.
3. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are entirely independent of financial considerations.
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of scholarly quality, originality, methodological rigor, research integrity, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, and contribution to the field of sustainability education.
No payment, financial contribution, sponsorship, institutional affiliation, or other financial consideration can influence peer review or editorial decisions.
4. No Hidden Charges
SuER does not impose undisclosed or mandatory publication charges at any stage of the editorial process.
Authors will not be requested to make payments as a condition of manuscript review, acceptance, publication, indexing, DOI registration, or online availability.
5. Waivers and Discounts
Because SuER does not charge Article Processing Charges or other mandatory publication fees, waiver and discount arrangements are not applicable.
6. Funding of Journal Operations
The absence of author fees does not affect the journal's commitment to editorial quality, peer review, publication ethics, scholarly independence, and long-term accessibility.
Where journal operations are supported by institutional funding, publisher support, sponsorship, grants, or other legitimate sources, such support must remain separate from editorial decision-making and must not influence the evaluation or acceptance of manuscripts.
7. Future Changes to the Fee Policy
If SuER changes its publication-fee model in the future, any new charges will be announced clearly and publicly on the journal website before they apply to new submissions.
No fee will be imposed retrospectively on manuscripts submitted under a no-fee policy unless explicitly agreed to by the authors.
8. Transparency
SuER is committed to maintaining clear and publicly accessible information concerning publication costs. The journal will clearly state on its website that:
There are no submission fees, Article Processing Charges (APCs), or publication fees for authors publishing in Sustainability Education Review (SuER).
